Summary: A taste of blood...is apparently all that is required to remind one of his vampire heritage. But instead of getting all broody and mopey about it, John Stone took it in stride and let the blood-sucking begin.

History: Originally an easy-going married man, John Stone was mailed a bit of Slivovitz Brady one day. Upon drinking it, he grew more distant, less productive during the day, and avoided religious objects. Soon, it became apparent that the Brady was actually blood, and the taste had reawakened his heritage with Count Dracula himself. His goal was to find and kill those associated with his ancestor's murder. But a distant relative of Van Helsing is also on the hunt.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Helsing's great-X-something and pals manage to distract Stone with some crosses and bibles before dawn arrives, forcing the vampire to go back to his coffin. They promptly shove a stake in his heart.

Powers/Abilities: Immune to bullets and the like.

Weakness: John cannot stand the sunlight, and is weak to religious objects. A stake to the heart shall do the trick, as well.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-John Stone sure looks unnatural, with his pale-white skin and such, and his methods are, courtesy of Herschell Gordon Lewis, quite visceral. Other than that, not much to see here.

Trivia: -This is considered by Herschell to be his magnum opus, seeing how it's much longer than his other works.

-Roger Corman took notice of this film, and offered Herschell an opportunity to work with him. For some reason, Herschell declined.
